Pancake Potluck at Hood College in Coffman Chapel, January 21, 2018. 


Reverend O'Malley and Hood College sophomore, Bridget Cavin line up blankets at the Pancake Potluck in Coffman Chapel on January 21, 2018. About ten people showed up to help make blankets for the homeless and eat pancakes.

Line of fresh ties made by Shawn Nath. The blankets are stacked on top of each other with two inch cuts made all around the edges and the cut pieces are then tied together.

Dr. Alex Corey: Frank Ocean and the Historical Consciousness of Popular Song

Dr. Corey responds to a question from Hood College Senior John Montez during their presentation on about Frank Ocean and the Historical Consciousness of Popular Song in Hood College's Marx Center on Thursday, January 18, 2018. The room was packed full for Dr. Corey's presentation, which lasted just over an hour.

Dr. Corey takes a moment to ponder during their presentation in the Hood College Marx Center on Thursday, January 18, 2018.. Dr. Corey discussed the unconscious connection between Frank Ocean's music and topics of race, sexuality, and police brutality.


Hood College students, faculty, and Frederick community members watch Dr. Corey's presentation on Frank Ocean and the Historical Consciousness of Popular Song. The engaged audience was full of thought-provoking questions for Dr. Corey after the talk.
