01.16.19 Hood Men's Basketball Game vs Stevenson

Hood College's Men's Basketball team warms up on the court before their game versus Stevenson on January 16, 2019 at BB&T Arena. The game was themed "Shoot Out Cancer" to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness.  

Senior player, Ian Eversull (#32), waits intently as the play unfolds. Eversull had nine points, six rebounds, two assists, four steals and two blocks. 

Stevenson players on the bench watch the action on the court intensely. Stevenson's men's basketball record this season is 12-6.

Hood players box out opponents under the basket as a shoot is attempted. The bleachers were decorated with pink streamers and balloons for "Shoot Out Cancer" night to spread awareness for Breast Cancer research.

The Pancake Potluck on Sunday, January 21st, at 7:00pm in Coffman Chapel's Basement 

Background Information: Reverend Beth O'Malley organized this event at Hood college (Frederick MD) to treat students to a warm snack this winter and provide an opportunity for Hood students to help make blankets for the homeless. The blankets are going to the "Second Street & Hope" organization to give them out.

West Friendship Volunteer Fire Department members practicing blind drills for navigation in a fire.  The firefighters went through the drills in full gear and with their vision impaired by hoods covering their masks.

Opposing team's goalie takes a quick breather as offense attempts to score on field 6 at the Four Seasons Indoor Complex. The goalie only allowed 4 goals as he saved 25 shots.

Three drag queens perform a short skit, playing as Melania, Donald, and Barron Trump at The Lodge in Boonsboro. Over seventy people gathered Friday night for an inauguration party at the area gay club.
