Campus Life, Zuniga

Ellie Blaser addresses the Hood Improv Troupe (Hit!) Auditions with an explanation of their next exercise. Hit! was founded approximately three years ago and aims to bring laughter to Hood College through improvisation.

 Leland Creadick focuses in his dorm as he cuts Kyle Niedenthal's hair. Leland has been cutting students'  hair around campus since last year.
The campus looks empty from the perspective of Alumni Hall as many classes are currently in session. One student walks along Hood College Drive alone.
Anthony Maglino separates all of the toppings for his sandwich to weigh them each individually.  Anthony is very motivated by his health and wellness.

Campus Life, Masucci

Sophomore midfielder, Eddie Somerville, sits in the Shimano Training Room before lacrosse practice. A majority of the lacrosse players visit the training room prior to practice to receive treatment.

Senior midfielder, Nick Masucci, ices his quads after practice. The Blazers started their 2017 campaign last Monday, January 23rd. 

Junior defender, Charlie Suarez, and Sophomore midfielder, Joe Carrol, wait in the training room before practice. Both players look to have a major impact for the Blazers this spring.

Multiple athletes receive treatment from trainer, Thomas Chatfield. Chatfield has been the designated trainer for the men's lacrosse team for three seasons.

The Hood College Emblem looms above the Whitaker Campus Center as students pile in to complete their evening studies. Recent renovations from the summer have greatly shaped the building's mood.

The Carson Cottage; Home of the Blue and Gray Newspaper captures the light of the mid-afternoon sun. Plans of renovation have been floating throughout campus news. 

An American Flag makes its presence well known as it towers above the Joseph-Henry Apple Building during a frigid winter evening.

Hood College's Alumni Hall awaits students. Alumni is one of Hood's oldest buildings.

First Event, Hong

National touring folk artist Ian Fitzgerald beginning his intimate live set at Cafe Nola in Downtown Frederick, MD on Saturday, January 21, 2017. 

Restaurant patrons continue to settle in during Fitzgerald's live set maneuvering between the bar and their tables. 
Fitzgerald addresses the small audience and patrons at the bar, preparing another song for his live set.

Bar patrons focus their attention on a hockey game and their conversations, occasionally turning to watch Fitzgerald as he continues to perform.

Matthew Cope arrives at Jack Frost Big Boulder ski resort for college student discount day on January 21, 2017. A group of Hood College students spent the day skiing and snowboarding.

First Event, Kendall

West Friendship Volunteer Fire Department members practicing blind drills for navigation in a fire.  The firefighters went through the drills in full gear and with their vision impaired by hoods covering their masks. 
Firefighters Christopher Mohns and Ryan Hassan simulate drawing through windows during the drills.  Contact must be made at all times between the two firefighters or else they will fail the drill. 
Firefighters Josh Dillon and Thomas Saitta prepare to begin their drills with the help of FF/EMT Sarah Copeland and Lieutenant Gary Phillips.
