Forester, First Saturday


An ice carving is displayed outside of the Historical Society of Frederick, MD. Ice carvings were displayed throughout downtown Frederick for this month's First Saturday "Fire in Ice" event, which took place on Saturday, February 6th.

CJ Blickenstaff: Krumpes Fastnacht Day 2016

Krumpe's Donuts in Hagerstown, Maryland has a street sign like no other.  Customers flock to this street annually during their rare daylight hours on Fastnacht Day, February 8, 2016.

Mrs. Krumpe prepares the Fastnaghts by hand in a process unchanged by the years.  Krumpes of Hagerstown held extended hours for Fastnaught Day on Feb 8, 2016.

On February 8, Krumpe's employees worked hard to produce delectable treats Fastnacht Days 2016.  Here an employee gives the donuts a quick toss in powdered sugar.

The "Fire in Ice" festival, held in Frederick, Maryland, drew a large crowd to the city on February 6, 2016. Part of the "First Saturday" event series, the festival helps attract tourism annually.

Bluegrass Band, Mandolin Orange, performed on the Weinberg Center for the Arts stage on Thursday, February 4. The Weinberg Center sold over 700 tickets for this performance. 
More than 700 people attended the Bluegrass concert featuring Mandolin Orange at the Weinberg Center for the Arts on Thursday, February 4. This performance was a pay-what-you-want ticket with a suggested donation of $10.
