Harmis, The Big Thaw

Parking lots in Carroll County are finally clear. Yet, mounts of snow still exist a week after 31 inches of snow.

Mounds of snow continue to melt every day after 31 inches of accumulation. As a result, runoff freezes at night and coats streets with ice until the sun warms the Earth.
Kj takes cover Sunday morning under the family lawn chair to fulfill his curiosity about melting snow.

The melting of last weeks snowfall has begun as we patiently await Springs arrival.
