(I love comments!)

Jeff sitting in the firetruck, ready to go.
He's constantly getting calls that pull him away from his personal life to go save someone else's.

Jeff working on his truck, "Whiskey."
She's a 50+ year old Ford truck, and he loves her greatly. He says he'd hate to own a new car, mainly because he couldn't work on it as much.

Jeff sitting in the firehouse, waiting for a call.
He loves being a volunteer firefighter, and often will sit at the firehouse when he knows they're low staff for the day, or when he knows a local storm is coming (meaning accidents will happen = calls).  He got an award in 2017 for most reliable responder (and is the youngest to ever receive it).

He loves being on a schedule that's unpredictable (even with late night fire calls), though sometimes he wishes he could get more sleep. Since seconds count in an emergency situation, he's always timing and pushing himself to be better.
On top of that, he has a country soul. To every call he's wearing his cowboy boots, and he loves to work with his hands. Even though he's never actually gone hunting, he's already carved a deer himself, and is eager to shoot his own one day.

I LOVE COMMENTS!

Portraits, Kendall

Katie Harmis recently finished out her education at Hood College and is awaiting her graduation in May. She enjoys photography, animals, and most importantly Disney. I have known Katie since we were one and a half years old, she is the closet thing I have to a sister.

This picture was taken on the dirt road beside my house. We have made many memories on this road. When we were younger we would take walks with our moms almost every week up and down the lane.
Tea has been a very important part of our friendship. Ever since we were little we would have tea parties every now and then and we go to tea houses every year with our moms to celebrate our birthdays.
Katie regularly practices Yoga. It is one of her passions and for years she has been trying to get me to practice and every now and then she succeeds and it always makes her very happy.
Knowing Katie as long as I have, I have learned that it is not easy to get Katie to smile, especially in pictures. Because of this, this picture is very special to me because I got her to laugh enough to make her smile long enough to take this picture. This picture was taken on the swing set that we used to play in when we were little.
Katie loves her animals, her dog Coco, pictured here is a little ball of love. Katie also has a cat, KJ, who has more nicknames then any other animal I have ever met. KJ is her pride and joy. Katie recently lost both of her Australian Shepherds who she grew up with, Cassie and Abbie, so Coco and KJ are even more special to her now.

Christie is a classmate at Hood College. Her favorite thing to do is go to Dunkin Donuts between classes.

When school is not in session, Christie enjoys traveling new places. Over spring break, she will be visiting Wales.

Austin Simmons waits for his order expectantly at Green Valley Carryout in Monrovia on Sunday, February 28th.

Austin looks out the window while he waits. His BMW can be seen faintly in the background.

Austin drives back home from Frederick. His hand can be seen reflected in the window above.

He drives with the top down on a warm Sunday afternoon.

Katie is an all-around art student. She takes photography and creates ceramics.

Katie usually stares out the window thinking about nothing. Not really pondering life; just thinking about nothing.

Besides her classes, Katie is in Circle K International, where she made fleece blankets  for the pediatrics unit at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Katie photographed the light in Gambril Gym in her photojournalism class. By the window in the pool created the best light for facial portraits.
Katie holds her stuff instead of actually using a book bag.

My best friend Natalie and I have been friends since we were 1 year old. Natalie has been practicing ballet for 16 years.

Ballet is her passion and she plans to be a ballet teacher.

Natalie grew up in the country, so naturally we posed her in her barn.

Natalie has always been graceful and takes pride in her passion.
