02.29.19 Hood College Snow Day

On Wednesday, February 20, 2019 Hood College was closed due to a massive winter storm that that swept across the east coast. Thus far, there have been numerous closures and delays this spring semester due to winter weather.

Despite classes being cancelled, the dining hall in Coblentz remained open for resident students to eat. The campus facilities crew worked all day to clear snow from pathways to ensure they would be safe for walking.

The pergola in the center of campus is covered in snow. During the winter months the branches entwined in the pergola are bare, but once spring rolls around they are abloom with beautiful wisteria.
